The oldest section of the house, constructed in 1790, consisted of a two-room structiure identified in the vernacular of its time as a “dog-trot”. |

Come celebrate the lifestyle of early Alamance County. The plantation complex includes a restored granary, corn crib and carriage house, as well as a 19th century summer kitchen. |
In 1800, the modest home was overbuilt to create a two-story dwelling typical of 19th century Piedmont houses. Victorian additions of 1875 contribute to its Italianate Revival character. |
